RADT 1010.03 Imaging Fundamentals
Course Description
This course offers an introduction to the processes involved in the production of x-radiation and the use of radiation for diagnostic imaging. It includes an overview of x-ray production, attenuation processes, image recording, and image evaluation. The basic principles and equipment involved in radiography and fluoroscopy are studied and related to the controlling parameters for image production. A major emphasis of this course is an analysis of the radiographic image and the factors that influence its quality. This course introduces students to the operation of imaging equipment during lab sessions.
